Originally from Sudbury Ontario, Ms. Williamson is an honours BFA graduate from Ryerson University’s Dance Program. She had the honour of working under the direction of Nadia Potts where she continued her training in ballet, modern and jazz.
Prior to University, she received professional training from The National Ballet School and the Quintee Ballet School. Her dance performance credits include: Tino Seghal’s “Kiss” at the Art Gallery of Ontario “Death in Venice” and “Iphignie en Tauris” with the Canadian Opera Company, and “Angelina Ballerina -The Musical” with Vital Theatre Company. Theatre credits include Monterone’s Daughter in the COC’s production of “Rigoletto” and the Princess in Open Corps’ production of “The Soldier’s Tale”. She has also performed as a Principal Dancer for Cadence Progressive Contemporary Ballet Company as well as independently for many dance companies in Toronto.
She has several years of dance teaching experience and is certified through the Society of Russian Ballet in Canada. She has choreographed for and co-directed several children’s theatre productions with Lock and Keynote Productions and Gros Morne Summer Music.
She also has experience in the film industry as an actor and dancer in commercials and movies. Look for her in American Girl’s movie “Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight” where she performed as member of the corps de ballet.
She is currently working as a teacher at specialized arts programs within the TDSB after completing her Bachelor of Education with a focus on dance and drama. Ms. Williamson, a skilled and passionate teacher, choreographer, adjudicator and actor, is constantly expanding her skills as a multi-faceted performer.
